Blog Monitoring 2
When creating my front cover, I downloaded fonts from the internet which would appeal to the target demographic of my audience. I have used bold, sans serif fonts as these will be easy to read and connote a modern, youthful feel which will appeal to young people. However, I may have to reduce the number of fonts used to prevent my front cover looking too disorganised.
I have learned how to manipulate text in Photoshop in various ways, for example, adding effects like a stroke and justifying it to either margin. Currently, all of the sell lines look the same, so adding one or two button sells will make my front cover seem more interesting. The main sell line is tilted slightly and is in a transparent banner, which I created by using the rectangle tool and changing the opacity of the shape. I applied the same properties to the baseline.
I chose to have the front cover image off to the right slightly, with the sell lines arranged down the left, as this differs from standard front cover layouts and will hopefully help my product stand out. I used auto tone and colour on my image to enhance it, as well as an unsharp mask filter.
